hi. my name is noah, aka amboy.

I’m an 18-year-old Filipino-American artist from Colonia, NJ, and I just released my debut EP, paperview. I wrote, recorded, mixed, and mastered all seven tracks in my bedroom over the past eight months, all of it while I was still 17.

It’s about nostalgia, the nuances of young love, the fear of letting go, and the anxieties of growing up. It’s meant for people my age, especially those who feel unsure of where they fit in the world.

I started making music when I was 14 with my band, Veil. We stumbled our way through the world of songwriting, finding our footing in the small, grassroots way of doing things. That’s where I fell in love with music, and with producing as a whole.

paperview is the first project I’ve made entirely on my own. It’s imperfect, and it’s raw, and it’s real. At its core, it’s just a collection of some 18-year-old’s feelings. But, if that’s something that might mean something to you, then I hope you’ll stick around.

And if anything I write makes someone feel a little more understood, then that’s plenty meaningful to me.
